Contributions mean a great deal to our community. They cover our site and server cost and sharply reduce the personal expenditure of some of our members. Even small amounts still have an impact. So if you can and you enjoy what we provide, please consider donating.

We were formed on the 30th November, 2008 by Jesse Mrasek with the premise of creating one of the most respectable units in the realism community. He instilled in his command staff a dedication to make fair and just decisions to eradicate inequity within the unit, to provide the best realism gaming experience possible, and to promote the realism community while inspiring personal growth within our members.
The 4th Infantry Division is an international, English-speaking, realism unit for Day of Defeat: Source. In our realism unit you will find a command structure, the occasional history lesson, great people, great servers, and a place to belong for those who are dedicated. The unit portion of our definition is a WWII military feel and experience which we attempt to recreate while upholding the greatest respect for those who
fought and died. The realism portion means we often host and take part in realisms which you will be able to learn more about in our forums.
We try to keep as close to the WWII military rank structure as possible and in doing so follow a code of conduct which respects ranks higher than our own. This helps us recreate a military feel. With this respect comes a
command structure which is used to help run programs and services within the unit. Ranks also allow for promotions, these are earned by helping the unit achieve its potential.
Ultimately our goal is to provide our members with a great community and a realistic experience whilst maintaining an enjoyable variation upon Day of Defeat: Source gameplay.
